Any one 's back rotor sqeek alot?? I just bought my Z about a month ago, and it's done it since I got it home. If you push the quad forward, it only squeeks in one spot, kinda weird!! I'm hoping my rotor isnt bent a little.

I know my z did this when the pads wore down. But your pads couldn't be wore down already. Maybe you just have dirt in them or there adjested to tight.

There are a few things that can cause it. If you've put on an aftermarket skidplate it can get bent up and rub against your rotor. Also, I noticed that mine would squeal for a while after I went thru mud. Part of that was the dirt or mud itself but some times it was a rock that got wedged in there inbetween the guard and the rotor. Lastly it can be the pads that are worn. I found that if the parking brake is properly adjusted, I go thru pads every 50-100 miles. This happened on my Mojave, 400ex and I didn't bother adjusting it with the z400. If you leave your parking brake loose enough (or remove it and use that blocking plate) you should notice a lot longer rear pad life.

The stock rotors warp easy, at least that is what I have read. Mine squeeked, so I just rode harder and only used the back brake for jumping. When I changed my swinger, I could barely move the quad cause how bad the rotor was warped. Rocky Mtn has Titax rotors for only 40 bucks, plus there vented which I think will help the warping problem.

The vented will be stronger then solid but will go through pads faster (holds dirt in the holes) the stock disc's do bend as they are just mild steel i belive. If you ride mud and water your pads will go alot faster. Depending on how much, but a month could ware them out. Seen it before. ( i have cut fenders so i just don't touch the mud any more.)
